Stillbirth Data
New national data on relative rates of stillbirth by week of gestation age.  Important to note this is a research letter, not a full study and there are several questions that still need to be examined about the data and analysis methods. However, given the significantly higher risk indicated as compared to previous understanding of risk after 41 weeks of GA, it felt important to share at this early stage of analysis.

NACPM Webinar:
Consensus Guidelines for Intermittent Auscultation in U.S. Community Birth Settings

Variation in IA practice and language across the U.S. has made alignment difficult—until now. Join the authors for a guided walkthrough of the Consensus Guidelines for Intermittent Auscultation and an open Q&A.
What to expect
  • A concise overview of the new Consensus Guidelines
  • Why IA is the gold standard for fetal monitoring in low-risk pregnancies—and how to use it consistently in community settings
  • Live Q&A with the authors
You’ll learn about the national minimum standard for:
  • Readiness & assessment: who, when, and how
  • Cadence & technique across labor phases
  • Interpretation & documentation that support communication and continuity
  • Clinical decision-making: when to re-assess, consult, or transport
  • Priorities for future research to strengthen the evidence base
  • How they got there: Over 21 months, a collaborative workgroup of educators, practicing midwives, quality improvement experts, and birth professionals reviewed evidence, incorporated clinical experience, sought organizational input, and refined recommendations through multiple feedback rounds.
If you use IA in home or birth center settings, or teach those who do, this session is for you.
