Step 1: Complete the Birth Emergency Skills Training® BEST Online program (approximately 21 hours of presentations and videos) prior to attending the one-day hands-on skills workshop.

Online training will open three-four weeks before the in-person workshop. You must complete the online courses in order to participate. We strongly recommend completing approximately one hour of the online program a day, or dedicating a full work day each week to divide the training evenly. You must score 80% or higher.

Step 2: Attend the Birth Emergency Skills Training® 8 hour workshop. You will learn new techniques at instructor-facilitated skill stations and build muscle memory through simulations, emergency drills, and practice with anatomical models for scenarios like postpartum hemorrhage, shoulder dystocia, and breech deliveries. You will receive a completion certificate by the end of the program.

Paid to host. Participants will not receive a discount for NRP training.

*Those who cannot attend the LIVE workshop must pay the full cost for online training,
$365 + $45 access fee.

Chapter Member Discount: 50% off — you pay a $300 fee, and cover the other half of the workshop fee.

Non-members: 25% off — you pay $450 and we cover the rest of the workshop fee.

Workshop attendees who are not a member of MA NACPM still receive a discount .

Student Midwife of Color Scholarship:

Currently, we are unable to offer a student midwife of color scholarship because we have not met the participant registration quota for our workshops. However, you may still submit an application alongside registration and payment to secure your spot! If you are awarded the scholarship, you will be fully reimbursed by MA-NACPM.
